Tips for Buying Promo Effectively
Want to ensure you are getting the most value out of your orders place? We've put together a quick breakdown with some stats and guidelines so you can maximize your ad spend on GigSocial.
Whatโs being bought?
Here is the breakdown of orders in recent months on GigSocial.
Guaranteed Gains: 57%
OF Mass Dm: 16%
OF Post: 11%
Twitter Post: 10%
Instagram Story: 5%
Instagram Feed Post: 1%
Choosing the Creator
We recommend choosing someone with:
- Less than 10 active gigs (Ensure you get done in timely manner)
- Above 80% response rate
- The ratio of advertisers worked with to completed gigs should be closer to 2. (Example: worked with 5 advertisers and completed 10 gigs). This means they are getting repeat orders.
**Buy from Influencers with similar traits. **
The goal is to get new fans to come over that would spend the most money. So ideally, you want to seek out influencers that have a similar look. Fans that follow a creator for specific traits are most often looking for those same traits. Maybe they like the influencer's hair color, certain body features, or type of content. So look for influencers that share these traits. You can also utilize our filter in Discover to search for these traits.
Captions
Always try to keep your captions on the short side. When fans come across the captions, they are usually scrolling through their feed and don't want to take the time to read a long caption. 1-2 sentences is a good rule of thumb. Using all caps is sometimes effective and it's good to include some emojis
Here are examples of good ones:

- FREE VIP ๐ฆโฌ๏ธ

Content
You want to use high quality images only. It doesn't need to be professional images, but make sure they are high res from a good camera phone. Keep the image close up rather than being far from the camera. Avoid using strong filters like Snapchat filters.
Where you are sending the new fans
If you are promoting your link page on socials, make sure your link page has a high rest profile image closeup. Then it's important you don't have too many buttons on the link page. Fans will get overwhelmed and indecisive on where to go when they land on your link page. The goal is to quickly steer them to 1 or 2 places you want them to go to, typically whatever pages you make the money money off of. Don't waste time sending them to premium social websites that you don't make much money off of.
If you are sending them straight to your OF, it should have the same principles. Closeup high res images for your profile and banner, and not too much text in your bio. We suggest looking up top .1% creators to see what their bio text looks like and use something similar. Getting your profile page perfect is so important. Otherwise there was no point in buying promo to begin with.
